

Each weapon has combos and attack patterns that depend on its type the player can expand their combo moves by spending points in weapon-specific combat knowledge. Each attack typically consumes 2 Stamina points. The player can use weapons in combat by equipping it into an active inventory slot and attacking using the action button. Vintage Pistol and Vintage assault rifle are the only firearms currently available in the game. Later in the game, the player gets Throwing Bombs that cause an explosion when thrown. These rocks can be gathered outside or mined in the Abandoned Ruins. Ranged weapons include throwing weapons and firearms.Īt the start of the game, the player has access to Throwing Rocks as their only means of doing ranged damage. Their slow attack speed can be remedied with faster combos acquired by spending points in Heavy Sword knowledge. Greatswords do the most damage and BREAK damage from all basic weapon types but have the slowest attack speed.Spears have average speed and damage and fast combos.The shield allows the player to block some damage from incoming attacks. Swords and shields have average speed and damage.They do less damage per hit than other weapon types and only one point of BREAK damage, but are able to land multiple hits swiftly and have an increased Critical Damage compared to other weapon types with dagger knowledge. Daggers are the fastest weapon in the game.The weapons have different attack speeds and patterns and different damage at the same level depending on their type. Melee weapons include daggers, swords, spears, greatswords, and hammers. Both weapon types consume Stamina, ranged weapons consume ammo in addition to Stamina. Two main types of weapons exist in the game: melee weapons that require the player to engage their enemies in direct close combat and ranged weapons that allow the player to attack from a distance. Advanced bronze or iron weapons are crafted using the Forging Machine. Stone weapons can also be crafted on the player's starting Worktable.


These entry-level weapons are much more efficient in combat than the Pickhammer or Stone Axe, but are weaker than weapons with higher base stats that can be made later in the game. From the start of My Time at Sandrock, Hugo sells stone weapons at his shop, Hammer Time.
